ABOUT THE FWA
Since 1956, the FWA has been steadfast in its mission of accelerating the success and leadership of women in the financial community across all industries by advancing careers, fostering alliances and preparing the current and next generation of professionals. In the past 36 years the FWA has:
- Awarded over $2 million in scholarships to nearly 400 high school, college and graduate students, to help to provide a pipeline of educated employees for companies like yours.
- Educated over 2,000 NYC students and many economically challenged adults in financial literacy skills.
- Conducted one-on-one mentoring programs at the Murry Bergtraum High School for Business Careers and at Baruch College. Our program was so well received it was adopted by the New York City Board of Education as the template for its public school mentoring programs and recognized by Harvard University.
- Conducted an annual nine week Wall Street Exchange program, working with major financial institutions – and providing job skills training for over 1,000 college students – both women and men entering their senior year.
